IMPORTANT: Before mounting Mag2 to your monitor it is important that you test its magnetic attraction to your monitor. This is critical since monitors that are not adequately attracted to magnets can cause Mag2 and your webcam to slide on or slide off of your monitor, potentially damaging your monitor and/or your webcam.

To test Mag2 on your monitor, attach the webcam as shown in the instructions. Place Mag2, with your webcam mounted, onto your monitor without letting go of Mag2. Gently release your grip on Mag2 to see if the magnetic attraction is adequate to hold your webcam in place. If Mag2 slips, slides, rotates, or easily detaches from your monitor, then your monitor does not have the ferromagnetic strength to hold Mag2 in place. You can repeat this with the stainless steel backplate or magnetic back plate.
